Send Dems into rural America to talk about what Trump is doing. The Republicans are too scared and won’t show their faces…in the vacuum of messaging, there is power. Tell the folks who is hurting them. Point to the GOP. Be the foil to the shit that’s happening. Be the party of the people.

Teachers teach. We need a leaderful movement, and there are leaders all around us.

Celebrating an American king. Ending 3 co-equal branches. Supporting authoritarian governments. To build a society they deem perfect. I'm not sure the Dems are equipped for this fight and thinking a whole new reform party rebranded may be the only way forward. Thoughts? If yes, who leads it?

This is what Trump wants--complete control and people begging him for federal resources.

@aspiringpeasant.com you said some of your past teammates voted for Trump because we were headed down this path anyway and needed to get on with it. What are their thoughts now? Will they watch it burn? Are they cheering it on? I'm curious about their mindset knowing what they have seen in war.

"Instead, we will have a new presentation: How much of your savings should be in crypto? Is 100% too little?"

The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?

@russo4ohio.bsky.social and @greglandsman.bsky.social, what are we doing to amplify the effects of the DOGE cuts on our state? From NIH funding to local federal work force unemployment, effects locally are real. Not social media but townhalls. I can help. bsky.app/profile/mcub...

This is the way… “The elected officials in Washington have to stop protesting in Washington. They have to go back to their districts…show the consequences…show the school that isn’t operating…they have to make it real.” With social media, word will spread to neighboring districts—even red ones.

@tanglenews.bsky.social, I appreciate your willingness to help create civil dialogue. However, a couple weeks ago when the newsletter came to the conclusion that Musk did not do the Nazi salute I was angry. Why do news orgs keep wanting us to doubt what we see with our own eyes?

Just saw a farmer say, "you don't have to admit you were wrong, you have to admit you were lied to, " and idk that seems like a good framing to call people in

The White House has designated Mr. Musk’s office, United States DOGE Service, as an entity insulated from public records requests or most judicial intervention until at least 2034 (Important reporting here by NYT Minho Kim) www.nytimes.com/2025/02/10/u...

@greglandsman.bsky.social You have the unique ability, in a purple district, to make this happen. Ask your colleagues in purple swing state districts to do the same. Everyone get out of their silos. And as a family with farm land, please highlight what is happening with farmers.

@mcuban.bsky.social, game on? She is asking to build a team of experts but doubting the PR blitz. Can you make the "fantasy land" a real thing?

www.foreignaffairs.com/united-state... This is by far the best, clearest and most realistic analysis of what we're in for that I've seen.

it is really important to get these statements and get the Republican leadership to actually push back. Not in a 'I'm concerned but will roll over' way a la Susan Collins, but a refusal to sign off on ending the constitution.

I just can't get over it. Voting for someone and still cheering ... all the retribution the lawlessness authoritarianism The GOP Congress yielding all power. It's still disbelief. It shouldn't be but it is...

This. A million times. Coalition building with universities, private sector, state governments, farmers across state lines, etc. This and a creating a new media ecosystem to counteract the disinformation are the solutions.

I found this article very thought-provoking. One take-away on how to build coalitions to defend democracy: focus on the negative outcomes of anti-democratic policies--those that people inattentive to politics might experience in their everyday lives. www.persuasion.community/p/theres-no-...

We are going to relive lessons from the 19th century so we should also learn best practices. This is article details how to reach Trump voters. Important lessons and ideas.
