It was a joy to meet so many passionate organisers from all across the UK, all united by a shared commitment to building an NHS free from borders. For those who couldn’t make it, we’ll be sharing a write-up of the weekend soon, along with details for the next National Gathering.

Only by ending the international community's active and passive complicity – and by leveraging the full range of political, economic, and diplomatic measures at their disposal – will complicit states like the UK be able to bring an end to Israel’s genocidal violence.

This targeted violence is part of a broader pattern of attacks on healthcare workers in Gaza. Since October 2023, over 418 aid workers, the majority of them Palestinian, have been killed, with many executed in cold blood.

The latest figures from @sipri.org show global military spending has reached $2.7 trillion, a 9.4% increase over 2023-24, and an almost 20% increase in just three years. UK banks: Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Natwest and Standard Chartered are still investing billions into nuclear weapons.

Even a single nuclear explosion would destroy a city, kill millions and cause unimaginable short and long-term harm, to which our health systems could never adequately respond.
