This is what I appreciated about The Last Jedi so much. It did a masterful job of showing Kylo Ren for who he really was: a broken young man who lost his way, had an opportunity to turn back, and CHOSE TO REMAIN EVIL. You can examine villains but not redeem them. It's still a great story!
