As am I, that's kind of where my frustrations lie. Hopefully this kind of reaction helps illustrate to teams that we don't want them behaving like this anymore.
Hope I didn't frustrate you this morning. Always love your analysis and enjoy a chance to chat. Hope you have a great day!

You're absolutely correct on that last point. The Ravens didn't need to make this kind of statement. I sure wish they hadn't, because there's no world they thought it would be well taken.
But "clearly the Ravens are a dirty org" still isn't my takeaway, and it's disappointing that it was Shiel's.

For Shiel, specifically?
Well, for one thing, I didn't hear him say shit when the Eagles drafted Jalen Carter. Or the Bills drafting Maxwell Hairston. But the Ravens drafting Mike Green CLEARLY shows they're a dirty organization, right?
He chooses his moment to care, that's why it's hollow.

I'm not trying to make this a fight. Like I said, the Ravens are deserving of criticism. And I agree that the praise they showed Tucker was far more than what was appropriate.
But you say you couldn't disagree with me more, then immediately agree with my point about the litigation? I'm confused.

I think the offensive line additions over the last two drafts would probably make me lean towards agreeing with you, but that's a bet on Fautanu more than anything.
And even if i do agree with you, the defense hasn't gotten any better whatsoever since then. It's the same guys but 2 years older

Pre or post Matt Canada being fired? Because, honestly, my answer might change depending on what you say.

I get that the Ravens are deserving of criticism, and rightfully so. But it felt hollow for Shiel to sit on a soap box and crucify their morals, and it felt like they were purposefully ignoring that the Ravens worded that statement to prevent litigation from Tucker's side. Disappointing.

This might cause the heat death of the universe. A roster like this cannot possibly go 9-8, and yet Mike Tomlin cannot possibly do worse than that.

The loaded roster is partly due to Harbs, in fairness.
Overrated? If someone's saying he's the best head coach in the league, that's obviously too far. But he's still a damn good coach, even if he's struggled to get over that final hump.

I mean if we're going "incompetent franchise" level of comedy it's gotta be the Giants
However, if it's "boy the NFL is really, really stupid" level of comedy? Jeanty falling to the Ravens would be an absolute riot

Nick, how much of this do you think is keeping the hard cap to ensure parity? Because I honestly think it's the biggest reason the NFL is king

That last line is less about the team and moreso about the city as a whole, tbf. Detroit never gets a break for. It's always hard, and when we finally figure one thing out, there's always another problem or catastrophe to fix - frequently one we caused.
