Though something everyone on the internet (not just the Genshin subreddit) needs to know, particularly young people: harassing a harasser doesn't make you better. There's not 'cancelling out' to it. Harassing someone who's been harassing or abusive just makes more harassers.

Oh I'm going to keep playing Genshin; I love the story, gacha doesn't bother me (and I'm ftp until hoyo actually behaves), I love the characters, and honestly the majority of the stuff you actually see in the game is from artists and writers and musicians who're probably in a boat not too...

A strike is not the same as leaving a job. A worker on strike has their job, and legally cannot be removed from it, but they also are deliberately not doing their job. When this happens on a large scale it deprives a business of a workforce and forces the business to talk with the workers.

Like I've said before with GenAI: if an AI gets to the level where it can create art, then it's probably going to be at a level where it has enough consciousness and awareness to also want to be paid. Since you need those things to actually make art.

Very valid question: why do people seem to hate English voice actors? Particularly it's focused on dubbing. Every single person I've ever met who was toxic over "dub or sub" type things was a subtitle purist. Every. Single. Person. And they deride English VAs. It's almost like a prejudice.
