*We've never actually played the main Pandemic game, but are working our way through the various Pandemic Legacies, and love the Star Wars: The Clone Wars game which also uses the system. Is it OG game worth playing having played the different variations?

Although we only had a brief introduction to it, we were both impressed by it, and will be adding it to our wishlist when it comes out - with limited pre-releases copies available each day, we'd missed the chance to buy one.

It uses Matt Leacock's Pandemic system*, with extra things going on too - and a couple of ways to regain 'Hope' (the equivalent to the 'Infection' tracker), the little Nazgul minis which move around the board with real menace, battles between armies, and more.

I wanted to embroider wildlife for the table names instead of table numbers, so that now we can hang them up at home. *I'd like to turn these into whipped stitch too, but ran out of time before the wedding. I might even add in location and date too. But now for a while, I need a break from these!

Three shades of green used, three hoops in each shade, & stitched mainly using whipped stitch for the animals & back stitch* for the lettering Very grateful to our friend and talented tattoo artist [Insta:] sara_scribbles_ who converted our photos into line drawings** that I could then embroider.

Strangely, this wasn't the first hybrid wolf I've met! And both times, they were quite timid animals, which I didn't expect

A delightful few days of wildlife watching, crafting, a few games, meeting various animals (I got licked by a cow! And met a hybrid wolf - by chance, in a car park!), eating bugs at The Bug Farm (more on that another time!), going to my first spa, and having a generally wonderful time.
