Someone needs to be tabulating how many people die because of the DOGE catastrophe. How many people starved to death? Died because medical care was withdrawn? Marginal increase in death rates in LGBTQ+ populations? People forced off antidepressants? Increases in aviation accidents? Someone do it!

They are firing the people who were hired by the IRS to enforce tax compliance by millionaires. The IRS was expected to bring in $200 billion by 2031 just by making high earners pay what they are already required to. Don’t tell me these layoffs are about “cost savings.” Please.

Not just tax evasion - tax evasion by MILLIONAIRES. The IRA funded the IRS to ensure that millionaires play by the same rules as the rest of us. One year ago next Friday, the IRS announced their plan to enforce compliance. The probationary period is 1 year. The firings are of probationary employees.

This is probably a moot point with everything else going on, but it’s worth noting that federal workers pay income taxes like everyone else. So whatever “savings” come from eliminating these positions can be reduced by approx 25% that are immediately paid in taxes.

In 3 days, the number of measles cases in a highly unvaccinated area of Texas has doubled. There are now 48 cases, all of whom are unvaccinated, and 13 of whom have been hospitalized so far, for a hospitalization rate of 27%. This is huge figure in epidemiology. This outbreak will keep spreading.

Now that DOGE has entered FEMA, I’d like to say something about the importance of alerts and warnings. FEMA has a group called IPAWS, the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System, which is responsible for making sure you get warnings though all sorts of devices, basically for free. 1/
