My monthly reading wrap up for February! πŸ’™πŸ“šπŸ’‘πŸ“šπŸŒΆοΈ

This piece is about Ohio public libraries and it's about how crucial it is in this moment to have documentation of every action being proposed or made. If it's not on paper, it doesn't exist. If it's on paper*, we have something to point to. *you don't need me to caveat what this means.

Look all I’m saying is the dinosaurs didn’t have access to public libraries and look what happened to them

Whew. Many, many US books are printed with Mexican paper or made with Canadian lumber. Spare a thought for authors, especially indie authors, trying to get physical books onto people’s hands in a politically volatile time. And be patient with your library. This is going to mess up a lot of stuff.

What I read in January! ❄️ My brain wanted an almost even balance of memoirs and cozy romance this month! πŸ’™πŸ“šπŸ’‘πŸ“šπŸŒΆοΈ

If you see this, quote with a Gif of your personality type

Sometimes I’ll go ahead and get online as soon as I wake up because it’s like welp it’s 7:13 so let’s go ahead and get this day ruined already

You don't know the power of the dark side! πŸ’₯

This morning: Types into Google: how to get AI out of everything *frustration ensues* Types into Google 15-20 mins later: typewriters for sale near me

If you want to read a new book coming out but don't want to buy it, a great thing you can do is ask your local library to order it. The more requests they get, the more likely they are to acquire it and then lots of people will get to read it who othewise wouldn't.

Reading is political. Reading is political. Reading is political. Reading is political. Reading is political. Reading is political. Reading is political. #BookSky

I spent part of yesterday and this afternoon logging recommended books from downloaded TikTok videos into my To-Read Pile on @thestorygraph.com I’m there under the same name! Like my name suggests - I like to read across all genres, but lately have read a lot of non-fiction and romance! πŸ’™πŸ“šπŸ’‘πŸ“šπŸŒΆοΈπŸ“šβ°

January 2025 as a meme

So the worst genre is definitely dystopian nonfiction

Finished my first read of 2025! The Age of Magical Overthinking by Amanda Montell was a good, grounding read to start the year. #booksky πŸ’™πŸ“š

I have my fingers crossed that you're right! 🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻

I love cozying up with a book while it’s snowing β„οΈπŸ“š

My first listen of the new year - hopefully 2025 will be our year!

Send an email to stop these bills in Ohio, which would give the government the power to arrest librarians and restrict the books that you are allowed to choose for yourself and your family (@everylibrary.bsky.social). action.everylibrary.org/hb556

Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers. Day 14 #BookSky πŸ’™πŸ“š #Books #BookChallenge

Eating Chinese by the tree while the snow comes down feels so cozy tonight! πŸ₯ πŸŽ„

Ban fake pockets, not books!
