Aside great things about being an older mum, what brings me down from time to time is that with the family passing the age of getting married, the chances of kiddos being in a wedding party as children are minimal. I was a flower girl twice, and it was so great, it's sad to think they'll miss it.

I resigned my Labour membership with a heavy heart a few days ago. I cannot bring myself to financially support the party or to campaign for them - as I actively did in the last elections - with the current policies and lack of principles. Not that the party cares if I stay or leave, really.

Urgh, got emotional in a call, with camera on, after being bombarded by 4 people with aggressive language virtually. It happened in the morning, I was shaking for an hour afterwards and my eyes are still sore. The joys of working from home. I wonder if they'd do the same in person. 🧵

The host of a call today (in UK) giggled when asking an America (joining from US) what they made of the elections result. People in the room laughed as if it was a joke, I cringed from my camera. The answer given in a sober way: They were still digesting it. Not one the host's best moments, imo.
