One time I was on the subway and an elder got the wheel of her walker stuck in the doorway. A young Black man, a butch Latina, and me, a white trans woman, all strangers, jumped up and together made sure she got in safely. Terrifying!

Beaker has seen some things

I cannot go outside during the day where I live as I’ve been assaulted and threatened multiple times in front of where I live. I’m in a good state but a very bad area to be Transgender. I do work, but I’m trapped in a work trade situation that only covers my roof. I could really use some help.

Please feel free to fill the replies with screenshots of people accusing me of crimes- because while I don’t actually have time for this- I’ll make time

For my @msnbc.com column this week, I wrote about exactly what the Republican anti-trans budget bill would do to trans people on Medicaid. www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

What was your first game console?

The amazing Alicia Cordisco of Justicar, Transgressive, and formerly Judicator and Project Roenwolfe is in some serious financial trouble due to recent medical problems. She has had to stop working and can not make ends meet on disability pay. Please consider sending her something, anything helps 💜

Hey folks! I'm shooting a little queer horror short here in Montreal this summer! If you know anyone in the area who's trans and might be interested in acting in it, send them my way!

For those of you who’ve missed it, fascists held an anti-trans rally in the heart of our historic gayborhood, the cops beat the shit out of counter-protestors, and this is the federal narrative now. I tried to log off to save my sanity for a bit, but this was literally down the street from me!!

Published a two-parter yesterday on why trans people realize their transness at different times. 1: sonjamblack.substack.com/p/when-do-pe... 2: sonjamblack.substack.com/p/what-stops... I honestly didn't think part 2 would be the more well-received (by about 50%) but here we are...

this is what we’re fighting for, the lives of children, these are the stakes

NYT editorial board: You get that headline for the president's $50M birthday military parade? NYT editor: Sure did boss, real fuckin inscrutable just like you asked NYT editorial board: First of all, we love it

Absolutely do not use tcgplayer until they stop this illegal practice and recognize the union

The Utah Report shows exactly what the people commissioning it didn’t want to see, that gender affirming care works. This article brought to you by @evanurquhart.bsky.social

trump’s threat was issued what, four hours ago? newsom is a craven collaborator, and i feel far less safe in california as a trans woman than i did just a month ago

Sleep well, little sister. We will keep fighting until all trans kids are free to be themselves. We MUST.

"Charlotte Fosgate, a 17-year-old from Oak Grove, Oregon ... was a vibrant and creative teenager navigating life as a transgender girl in a world that too often failed to show her the kindness she so deeply deserved." unitedchapel.site/charlotte-fo...

Seattle peeps who were at Cal Anderson on Saturday?

This is a tough one, but I'd have to say "Storms."

Does anyone know the status of the immigrants that were sent to South Sudan?

Stuff me like a Double-Stuf Oreo 🥺👉👈

Every time someone says “dress your age” to a trans woman, a kitten heel snaps in protest. Baby trans girls aren’t dressing “wrong” — they’re catching up on years they weren’t allowed to exist. We’re not here to be age-appropriate. We’re here to be ourselves. open.substack.com/pub/geekonal...

back in december i had an account spend a couple of days telling me to kill myself. and not in coded language, like 'put the gun in your mouth' and then describing my brains splattering. those posts were never taken down, she was never suspended.

Residents of north Gaza say a repeat of the early stages of the genocide is taking place, when hundreds of thousands were displaced to the south and barred from returning. Gazans fear that the latest wave is paving the way for the final displacement. mondoweiss.net/2025/05/as-t...

"bluesky is for the dolls" was a threat. we were supposed to be complacent sexual playthings with no teeth living blissfully unaware in our fantasy world. we weren't meant to be self aware, and they resent us for it

Nothing like a creepy guy following me off the subway, walking too close behind for several blocks, and whispering threateningly to me to remind me that I am indeed a woman, no matter what my dysphoria or any bigot says. 😣

I live this genocide every moment. The destruction, bombing, and starvation are not just words or distant news they are the reality killing us daily. While the world talks about feeling uncomfortable, we are dying slowly here; our children cry without food, and our homes collapse over our heads.

THE LUMBERJACK (1914) is a rare surviving example of itinerant filmmaking of the silent era. A small filmmaking team would show up in town (Wausau, Wisconsin in this case), shoot a simple story starring the townsfolk, hold a screening and then move onto the next town.

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY: Girlmode by Magdalene Visaggio and Paulina Ganucheau. This story of a recently transition girl making a new start in a LA high school covers a lot of teen drama, but ends with a great message about embracing one’s own strengths. 5-25-25.

the best thing robert moses ever did for this fucking town was die and leave us a gender neutral toilet
