Thanks for taking aim at the REAL REASON we are in this mess.

I can buy a 50lb bag of corn for squirrels & deer at one store in the entire area, for $10. Not sure it’s safe for humans? Maybe. But the only bulk food for human consumption available is rice and it’s still $20 for 20lbs. The math isn’t there for food. We’re turning into the Oliver Twist novel.

We don’t ALLOW subsistence under our economic system. Example: you can’t buy bulk /raw materials cheaply, e.g large 40lb sacks of flour. Everything is priced out of range for low income folks, that’s why we have to subsidize. It’s to increase income for those churning out higher priced goods. (1/2)

Is it worth using this hashtag on other social media? I haven’t been active there lately, just reading.

The more Dems investigate, the more it looks like two sports teams again. (“They said the election was rigged, now we’re saying it too”). Somehow the elected Orange and cronies DO have followers who really DO support him.
Have there been any whistleblowers on the b”mb
scares on election night?

@chrislhayes.bsky.social Would this have been possible if the government had shut down last week?

Yes, and they are concerned with the millions who didn’t bother to vote so that They are in the total minority now. The armchair non voters are the reason for all of this.

I am starting to wonder whether public figures fear being thrown in jail if they do?

I am wondering why Chris glossed over that so much, especially where Chuck pointed out that the federal courts - our line of defense right now - would have shut down also. Indefinitely! Usually I expect more fair & level headed thinking from @chrislhayes.bsky.social !!!

Thank you for saying that. The whole infighting thing feeds RIGHT BACK IN to people not voting, and saying the two parties are the same etc etc

Chris, when you talked about Schumer you seem to have glossed over what he said about federal courts being shuttered during a shut down. He made that point several times. The courts are ALL we have, since people DIDN’T vote in the election.

The problem is they still actually won. There are, in fact, right now, MAGA voters who are thrilled with all of what’s going on. Everyone who blames Dems really ought to be blaming voters who sat home.

So sorry you couldn’t hold on any more Lorenzo. Thank you for sharing with the world on your bright days and I’m sorry your dark moments took you. I only wish something had intervened to shake your spiraling thoughts on that day.

Yes, but, this is who we are dealing with, right? Rules don’t apply. And his supporters don’t care.

I’m not against it, but how effective is it, truly? Protest is part of a solution, it’s empowering, but misrepresented by media & then 2 wks later all returns to normal. Would the orange change their minds/actions due to a protest? We need outside-the-box brainstorming. It doesn’t feel like enough.

Maybe it’s not good to publicly answer. Just … keep me in mind when you’re trying to build solutions.
