Are you familiar with Michèle Lamy? She's been a big inspiration in keeping my gothiness as I get older.

Obsidian is made for info hoarding! That's why I chose it for my general commonplace book and my ongoing research topics repository. You do need to decide on your organization system early to keep up with everything, but I think it could work for you!

I'm marking 4/20 in my calendar for this. I dream of being a TBQ published author.

If you end up not finding anything you like, just tell people you're really into Tool and that will end the conversation there.

Also, I love that they are planning for excess demand without a thought for surplus- all while the resale value is shot, and there are car lots full of their rusting ego machines.

If everyone can suddenly afford to own a Tesla, who will pay for rides from all these Tesla owners?

Can I tell you, I’m only just now rethinking my own belief that everyone else hates EVENTS as much as I tend to?

See, I think a close reading of what I actually said would really benefit you here. The weirdly puritanical part is the hangup people have on the idea of this Trump voter regretting his vote. I don’t care about the punishment aspect. The damage is already done. None of that is a dismissal of fact.

He pursued, dated, and married an immigrant but at no point took the time to educate himself and what his choices might mean for her. That's not naivety, that's willful ignorance.

On a very basic level, I don't care whether or not he regrets his vote, and its weirdly puritanical that that's such a fixation for folks. As far as it being important that “we” read things into the text, fuck that as well. There's a lot unsaid, and I'm all out of benefits of the doubts for it.

A vote for Trump was a vote for precisely these things to happen; he just didn't expect it to happen to him.

I absolutely do see it, hence the question in the first place. And as a border neighbor and possible future expat, I keep up with Canadian news (would love your thoughts on Carney!) but I don't trust the news here, so better to ask and get a read for how actual people are feelings about things.

The lies about the fentanyl, and the idea of America invading. Tbh I'm not sure if this is something that people (Americans) are hyping up (either out of fear or intent to inflict fear) or if it is a real possibility in the eyes of Candian people.

Is this a concern in Canada (or more specifically where you are) currently?

Agreed, but I'm also genuinely asking. Do you think that this is being drummed up (yes, I think somewhat obviously) as a pretense for a physical invasion or military incursion?
