An update about my car. werd.io/2025/about-m...

If you’ve got $20,000 a month to spend on a “PhD level” ai agent, just hire a person.

More on the type of anxiety specific to autism that's the direct result of autistic brain wiring... distinct anxiety. Here are a few examples of how it can show up... - Anxiety tied to unexpected plan changes, changes in routine, or changes to the environment...

I also think it's funny when someone says "it's not that deep"... you're allowed to think that just as much as I'm allowed to think it is. So go ahead and keep on scrolling and I will 1000% continue talking about it. 😆

For years I justified my twitter habit by saying, "I need to be here to promote my books and stuff like the Project for Awesome." Without twitter, this year's p4a raised a record $3,700,000. Without twitter, Everything Is Tuberculosis (a history of tuberculosis!) is outselling my previous book...

This is a general PSA when it comes to literally anything anyone talks about... ever. When it comes to any topic ever being discussed, especially awareness-oriented topics... nothing, and I literally mean nothing, applies to everyone and everything...

It would be helpful if more people understood renewable energy is actually an extremely disruptive technology and the reason monied interests are trying to make folks hate it is that they are the ones which will be disrupted.

At this point I can't keep track of the number of fabricated quotes that I supposedly said that are popping up everywhere.

Anyone else think it's hilarious when people comment "nobody cares" on things? Like, if you really didn't care you wouldn't have taken the 3 seconds it took you to leave the comment. I know this bc when I don't care about something on social media, I keep scrolling because I literally don't care 😆🤣

Trump whining that Democrats wouldn't applaud him even if he cured a disease and then a second later bragging about withdrawing from the World Health Organization

Y'know, part of why I'm a bit cranky is that when I worked in the hotel industry, it was my literal job to help people and solve their problems. Part of that was answering phone calls! And although we had the option to send calls to central reservations if needed, we only did that when super busy.

You guys. As a member of the Oregon Trail generation, I just.

The US exports 60% of its soybeans (71 metric tons for $40 billion). A lot of farmers grow soybeans specifically for export. There is absolutely not even close to that kind of demand for soybeans inside the US.

Said the pres. of the Am. Academy of Pediatrics: "relying on vitamin A instead of the vaccine is not only dangerous and ineffective, but it puts children at serious risk....Taking too much vitamin A can cause serious health problems, including liver damage.” www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...

What's it gonna take for everyone to realize the occupant of the white house is fundamentally anti-American?

This is not law. It couldn’t withstand legal scrutiny. Don’t comply in advance university presidents. General counsel, don’t panic. Do law, not vibes.

Disability tax: Because existing while disabled is a privilege you have to pay for.

Freeland: "If these tariffs are put in place, it is going to hurt Americans ... your grocery prices are gonna go up, bc you know what you need to grow food in the US? You need fertilizer. 80% of it comes from Canada and you're gonna be a 25% tax on it? ... the WSJ is right. This is dumb."

Farmers are going to run to Congress for another handout to deal with the retaliatory tariffs and the answer from Dems has to be "no." This isn't out of retribution, it's because we can't keep creating escape hatches for GOP members of Congress. For the benefit of all, keep the pressure on them.

Corrected headline: 22-year old beaten to death by Corrections Officers at Mid-State Correctional.

I actually think the dems should attend the SOTU, wait till the 2nd sentence, and then walk out en masse, that'll do it, there'll be no address, he'll just have a meltdown on national Tv

I wish I had realized my autistic discomfort of change was why I tried so hard to stop myself and my spouse from radical changes of self expression, shutting down both of our ability to experience euphoria. Living life unaware of your needs can cause very maladaptive behaviors.

This is always the most asinine argument. “Diet and exercise will protect you from communicable diseases.” Right, like in the past where everyone did hard physical labor every day and ate only organic food with very little meat and had a life expectancy of like 35

I have a sincere question. (I know, I’m sorry.) How much of your childhood do you remember? I only remember brief flashes of mine.

They confuse “didn’t realize we hurt someone” with “doesn’t feel shame.” It’s incredible to me how many “autism experts” don’t understand this very basic distinction. Incredible & very worrisome. #Autistic

Most of what we call "tech" is about getting the right information into a database and trying to prevent the wrong person from reading or updating it.

Autistic me may abruptly cut someone out of my live or make intense sudden adjustments. Some say it's because of how I think or because of past trauma. I wonder if it's actually because we often let people step all over us while we mask and we don't set boundaries until it's far too late.

I love autism it’s like a gah this party is overwhelming lemme walk 4 miles home in the cold to self soothe

Something I removed from my latest video which I now regret removing was the fact that YouTube uploaders can choose to prevent a video from appearing in the Subscriptions feed. If we uncheck "Publish to subscriptions feed and notify subscribers" during the upload process... it won't go to subs.

Ok also AOC and Elon Musk are not in a “tit-for-tat feud.” AOC is a duly elected member of Congress who operates under an oath to our constitution and Elon Musk is an unelected Nazi billionaire whose wealth makes him think he’s above the law and empowered to illegally torch our government.

Hey did you know that the two most productive people I have ever had on my teams have been people I was told to fire for performance reasons? This is why it’s so important to: 1) hear context from previous managers but not anchor to it 2) give people clear feedback and give them a chance

18F, the federal government’s technology shop, was just demolished by Musk’s team. It was a cost-recoverable org, charging agencies for their expertise, using a consulting model. Its cost to government was negligible, its benefits huge. My team there once saved DoD $500 million. A thread about 18F:

You know Bluesky is really hitting its stride when most of the replies you start to see on the timeline are sealions. wondermark.com/c/1062/

Zelenskyy stayed in Kyiv while Russia was bombing the city and sending in hit squads to kill him. J.D. Vance fled to an undisclosed location because some peaceful protesters yelled at him while he was on vacation. This is why I believe victory over these people is still possible.

I will admit to finding the “all problems are caused by evil and we could fix every problem without any trade-offs” worldview pretty draining and immature.

I hate to break it to the MAGAs but Musk, Zuckerburg, Bezos and the rest of the Tech Bros aren't investing billions of dollars on AI so that they can hire millions of people from Red States for high-paying jobs at their companies. They're doing it so that they can fire as many workers as possible.

I think this is one of the biggest factors The meanness of inviting someone to your house, only to berate them and then kick them out- it breaks every rule of hospitality in the world. It’s gross

This is Winston Churchill visiting the White House during World War II. Funny how he isn’t wearing a suit either. Almost like he was a wartime leader defending his country from being slaughtered and wiped out by an authoritarian aggressor.

I will never forget the photo of Zelenskyy’s face after he saw Russia’s war crimes in Bucha in 2022. He seemed to age years in an afternoon. Watching him constantly cross the world asking for aid that should have been thrown at him is one of the deepest shames of our age.
