Super happy about this, but I still think there's a lot of value in an app that supports both networks. I'm using Openvibe right now instead of separate apps.
Iβm excited for this because I dislike the way the official app works with timeline updates, but also disappointed that Iβll still need two apps.
Even if I still need both, it would be nice not to have two separate timelines, even if you get sent to the other app to interact with posts.
As someone who loved every version of tweetbot, Iβm so exited! Iβm paying for ivory even though I donβt use mastodon as a way to support the development.
I'm curious if it will be possible here (or how hard will it be to add), since feed loading in the API works differently here (there's no way to load "first page of older posts that are newer than X")β¦
Glad to see it, but if I'm honest, a unified client is the only path forward for me personally. The socials are now split too far apart and it's too hard to keep track.
Woo Hoo!! This is great news. I would have preferred Threads over Bluesky, but I imagine Facebook doesnβt have a API available to allow you to make a client for Threads π’
Understanding that awesome work/development/products etc deserve to be paid for, is there a possibility of a "both" Ivory and Phoenix yearly sub, that would be a little discount from both separately. Thanks a bunch!
Seriously, as a long-time A
Tweetbot user, itβs 100% noticeable the amount of time and attention placed on something as simple as scrolling. And now that we have promotion devicesβ¦ I canβt wait to play with Phoenix for iOS/iPadOS/macOS.
Genuinely looking forward to this as someone who likes Ivory (sans the name). But that whole FAQ kinda comes across as "we don't wanna do this, but y'all won't support us on the platform we wanna be on." Which feels... weird.
I get it and appreciate the honesty to an extent, but it's still weird.
my read of it (especially given the delay on 2.3) is "Phoenix and Ivory will share a large portion of UI code / similar, and hopefully allow us to move faster overall with two apps"
Kind of a shame they decided to make it a separate app to Ivory, but I can see it would make for a more streamlined user experience (though it looks like cross-posting will be supported?).
Leon dropping support for Tweetbot was a big time annoyance. Too me a while, but I finally left the bad Place last November. Phoenix will be a day one purchase for me.
I am so excited to hear this. As a long time user of Tweetbot I look forward to this. If you can make βsave your place in your following feedβ a reality I will just about pay anything.
Love to see it. I am an early Ivory adopter and happy customer - will be very glad to support you here as well. (And I will still be using both Mastodon and Bluesky!)
Such incredibly good news! Longtime Tweetbot (R.I.P.) fan, and now enjoying Ivory (iOs & OS) since 2023. These developers are amazing and deserve our fullest support. Currently using Graysky for iphone, but Tapbots should take Bluesky to the next level. π
I have eagerly awaited this day. I was a huge fan of you guys back in the day, and was devastated when Twitter shunt out all the third party apps. I eagerly await Phoenix and will be there for the alpha test 100%.

(Seriously yβall you have no idea how happy I am about this as someone who interfaces with Bsky mainly on iPad.)

Canβt wait to see news of a public alpha!
* Bookmarks as well please π
They used to sell Tweetbot for a reasonable price, I look forward to a return to that.

As someone who lives in the southern hemisphere, could you please indicate which month summer is?
Over here, it means start of December to end of Feb. Which I assume isn't what you guys meant π
That would be the best revenge against Elonβs X!!
Keep up with that monthly subscription, and itβs a hard no.
I paid for Ivory for a year, but Mastodon sucked, so I stopped.
