Glory Nights: From Wankdorf to Wembley. I don’t give a damn for the same old played out scenes. Don’t confirm to formulas. Just a bloke.

Zelensky is a wartime leader watching his people suffer and die under Russian attacks every day. To be lectured and lied to by Trump and Vance, as they defend the war criminal dictator committing these atrocities, is unimaginable agony. An everlasting shame for America.

Nationalise his golf courses and build 'Zelensky Garden City'.

This would be the same Robert Jenrick that said during the Tory leadership campaign: "If I was an American citizen I would be voting for Donald Trump".

Zelenskyy is a ten times a man compared to the other two, put together. Two moral weakling, tyrant-fellating, cheap showmen for simpletons, barking at one of modern history’s great men. What an age we live in. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

If you're Germany, Poland, Taiwan, South Korea, or Japan right now, you should probably assume the U.S. is an unreliable ally and try to get your own nuclear deterrent.

What I particularly liked about yesterday was Starmer putting balloon head/ balloon brain JD Vance in his place over free speech. That’s my kind of patriotism. 👏 🇬🇧

Well deserved.

Around 35% of SpaceX’s revenue comes directly from the federal govt. Less than 1% of NPR’s budget comes from the federal govt.

Bats for dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner…

Ah, just seen the alert of a live PM news conference at 5pm on a weekday. Missed the “next slide please” days. Even better if it is about pumping money into national defence, rather than the clown policy of saying you need to buy a substantial meal before having a pint in a pub.

Madison Marriage will be on R4 shortly talking about her extraordinary @FT magazine piece about the inquest into her brother’s death. Which you can read here: on.ft.com/434zZqn My brother, the NHS and the inquest into a needless death

From the New Yorker, by Ellis Rosen.

Jeremy Corbyn must decide. Does he back the UK standing with Ukraine against Russian aggression, or does he align with Trump's isolationist appeasement of Putin? There is no sitting on the fence.

Gaming community notes you say? Of course that’s never been a problem until now.

Good thing Goalhanger haven’t had a ‘The Rest is THFC’ podcast this season.

Great trip to Leverkusen, getting to understand the rise of a clever but grounded club - and the Xabi Alonso effect. My god he's good. Wouldn't mind watching that football for €17/game. Xabi loves details and the bashed up bin in the away dressing room is one. www.thetimes.com/article/5142...

On his sky shots: “It’s the small and the infinite, hand-in-hand. The stars are there for everybody. They make you dream.” Superb insight into his filmmaking. Also, great Philly photos. The BBC should release all the Scene-by-Scenes. (And bring back Moviedrome). #DavidLynch

Everytime I click on a Twickets alert for Doves at Brighton, the tickets have already gone…think they could have gone for a bigger venue. #Doves

Superb tributes here.

Fatal flaw in this plan, imho, is many/most Tory voters don’t want the radical change Cummings desires. They’re actual conservatives. They would just like things to run a bit better & for life to be a bit easier. They’re not revolutionaries.

Some real thought leadership in politics; a report which recognises we are past the stage of old ideologies and past voting habits. There needs to be focus on delivery. Disrupt or be disrupted, from TBI: Disruptive Delivery: Meeting the Unmet Demand in Politics institute.global/insights/polit…

This is an utterly chilling investigation exposing the warped minds behind far-right extremism in Britain.

The Ange cult lads ignoring the fact that Villa had a second choice back 4 pretty much and played without a striker for most of the match.

You have to sack Ange now. That's two abject performances in a row in our two biggest games of the season (so far). Fatigue has been an issue for months but we at least gave a damn. Today was poor, no intelligence anywhere on the field and our leader is arguably the worst of the lot. Awful.

“I bet Unai Emery couldn’t believe his luck” says Joe Hart. Moyes couldn’t believe his luck. Van Nistelroy couldn’t believe his luck. McKenna couldn’t believe his luck. etc. etc. Over 20 months of same poor team management making us easy to play against. Need an external caretaker in now. #THFC

Sorry I'm Ang out now 🫣

Ange has had no answers to this predicament. Football is tough. Never been convinced by him. Not for me Beaky. Get it done. Pay up both of their contracts.

In the Movidedrome slot, these David Lynch films deserve intros from Alex Cox (or @peterbradshaw1.bsky.social). And as I put on the other site yesterday - where there is more engagement - the BBC should put Play It Again Sam there, following the passing of Tony Roberts, next Sunday.

Overrun and outnumbered in all areas last night. Looked clueless, with no direction or gameplan. In keeping with the relegation form which has stretched for more than 50 league games, while we are routinely outplayed in long spells, inc by Coventry & Qurabag. Back to see the same excuses. #THFC

Enjoyed Brentford away on Sunday. Now properly looking forward to being in the away end at Liverpool. Up the Spurs. #THFC #COYS

Don’t like it up em the Arsenal 😅

I'm old enough to remember when we told our first year students that The Telegraph was one of the few newspapers that was a reliable source.

Quel surprise? While socialists were fighting Brexit the clique around Corbyn were having dinner with far right Tories in a bid to get it over the line... did anyone speak up? Yep👇🏽
