I love VR but it's really not for everyone. It doesn't do a lot of gaming styles very well, and the interfaces will never be efficient. It's good for a range of immersive experiences that fit within specific guidelines and it's great for those. It's as likely to be "the future" as the wiimote was.

Watching Squid Game 2 and it's not bad. That said, it's missing the overarching air of dread. For instance, they put an upbeat light rock track to a montage of game playing and show everyone cheering each other on then follow up with the team building music. It just breaks the tension completely.
