I mod in a lot of other games too. FFXIV is one I don't mod in but my choice is largely based on a few factors including (my just being lazy). The only way mods take away from the game is... well... that's another topic entirely

FCs are definitely a good way, during peak times when half the population isn't experiencing burnout between patches. There were a lot more social beans playing a year and a half ago to be fair

LOL I LOVE THIS. I would instantly friend you ingame if I saw this.

It is, but they form groups & spam fates. It's not a gathering place for friendships to be formed

Lol 99.9% of the RP community mods

Artists have popularity in 14 yep, but commissions =/= friendships

Oh, I've got no shortage of friends, but it's because I'm a content creator. In my off-time, I notice the absence of socializing in the game. In OC, it's people in shout channel cracking jokes & killing monsters. Not sure just how social towards "making friends" that is 🫠

Honestly that's entirely valid. There IS the obvious limitation of it being in a purchase-only expansion. I wonder if it'll gain population when it becomes part of the trial 🤔

Oh definitely, people watching is the best part of Limsa. I may be slightly guilty of looking at all the adventure plates & quietly cheering on all the amazing glams ✨

Me too, the AFK part AHHH it's just so pretty there. The only thing that would 100% sell it for me to afk there, with or without people, is if the ocean actually sounded like an ocean OMG

Quite honestly, SAMMMME. I love that city more than any others for its vibe & music PLUS the mb is conveniently near the aetheryte. It does make me wonder why it's not as popular as Limsa

Please bear in mind that my family and I are well-informed of our options. We have taken two MONTHS to sort out & figure out what we can and cannot do.

Nope. We already inquired, looked, searched. Thank you for the advice though.

"twice on different difficulty settings. Why would they?" Because a great story, riveting music, excellent actors, quality direction & smooth, near flawless code is enough to give me serotonin. There's also the hit of nostalgia. But very, very specific games do that to me - certainly not all

Hmm, I start with storymode, finish the story to completion (fully enjoying the entire bit), then I flip it to "normal" mode & play it with more challenge. I must be a bizarre outlier to you, but I have MANY gamer friends who play exactly like I do.

I totally agree!

As a gamer with my primary interest in games being story-based, story mode doesn't just convey "easy" it describes a setting that allows players to focus 90% on the story instead of 50%, or 20%. It doesn't insult players like me who just automatically know that story = easier.
