still in awe that we made this episode. remy is genuinely a great hang, and perfect tides is an *unreal* video game. amazing to talk to him about it. play the game!! listen to the ep!!

perfect tides mentioned

It was so much fun to be a guest on @dotzip.online !! Get Perfect Tides pilled, just in time for the upcoming Station to Station sequel 😜 @meredithgran.com 🫶

this is such a lovely and in-depth look at Perfect Tides from @dotzip.online and @remysiu.com. Thank you all for playing and discussing what the game meant to you!

A decade ago, I went on book tour with Sybil Lamb. We did 32 cities across the US/Canada, read with dozens of writers and met hundreds of people. So many of them are now dead. All of them are transsexuals. The oldest didn't make it to 50. I say this because I want you to live and I'm going to too.

Convos from Thingus: It doesn't matter who murdered Laura Palmer. Twin Peaks is not Lost. The mystery is not even the hook, you watch the show to experience the ambient vibrations of life going on in Twin Peaks, guided by Lynch's aesthetic fixations

He's even got the little round standee you lose in the first two weeks. That's gotta be good for the resale value.

Tonight on Thingus: Mario Paint night! *robot loading music intensifies* Starting soon: www.twitch.tv/granulac

I just finished rereading what I’d read before and all the newer stuff besides. Let me tell you it was EXACTLY what my elderly millennial ass needed. The 2021/2022 stories: WOW. My heart.

Perfect Tides: Station to Station is part of #TheStoryTellersFestival on Steam! Lots of great games on here. You can watch my pre-recorded dev playthrough of the PT:STS demo and give it a wishlist if you haven't! store.steampowered.com/publisher/Tw...

This looks promising! Curation is such a big problem for small developers, who rely almost solely on the Steam algo/review ecosystem for their game's success

if you’re looking for a way to relive Octopus Pie through someone else’s eyes, @madhogthymaster.bsky.social has posted a whole thread of commentary, which itself is a relic painstakingly reassembled from twitter

I see people saying this sort of thing often, and quite frankly it makes me sad. The truth is, more people are making good adventure games now than were ever made during the “golden age” of the 90s. For example: 🧵

Thingus is back tonight with Commodore 64 games on original hardware! will probably be a carnage stream. Starting soon: www.twitch.tv/granulac

hmm………………….. go birds

meu deus

Hang onto your buns and franks if your nephew detects this social classification of the sexes at your next cookout

thinking about how Tom Scharpling would start to play “Bad Company” while an annoying caller was talking, then fade them both out like a gently receding wave

Tonight on Thingus: Golden Yoshi and more ROMhacks! And I will probably talk about Groundhog Day. Starting soon: www.twitch.tv/granulac

Here. Have a baby flamingo.

they’re not mad at you. they’re not even thinking about you

Content warning: glitched naked pixel smurf Just discovered in our archive: we thought "nude codes" in games dated back to the original Tomb Raider, but we found a functional one in Electronic Games way back in 1984. archive.gamehistory.org/item/4f6b3af...

is there a term for the moment you forget what the code you (sometimes very recently) wrote is actually supposed to do, and you're just swapping variables around on the prayer that whatever you already wrote will start to work?
