This thread made me feel even better about teaching with most of my classroom windows open all year. Two weeks left, and I haven’t gotten sick (yet).

There was a big CTA march in San Francisco today that might have drawn people away. I imagine there's some overlap in the folks who'd attend both.

We were SHOCKED. I wish we had a reaction video of ourselves. Our faces must have been hilarious.

Between this and @kohler.bsky.social’s posts, I just had a crying-laughing episode with my partner on the couch. Sometimes it hits just right.

I love the down-blowing fans! My classroom has a very high ceiling, so the bottoms of the windows are a couple feet above our heads. My four(!) purifiers are all mostly at chest level, which is the highest I could get them (1 on floor) and blow upwards. I'm always looking for a better way.

The Diplomat is great (2 seasons so far), and we really liked Black Doves and Zero Day (both limited series).

School vouchers: -divert funds from public schools -subsidize schools that do not need to comply with civil rights law -subsidize religious schools -usually do not cover the entire cost of private school tuition and therefore only benefit those who can afford to pay the difference in cost.
