I am completely unsurprised. When I was in law school, my conservative classmates (and professors) expressed outright hatred for programs like SSI, Medicaid, and the passage of the ADA. They don't believe in social safety nets of any kind, even for people who are too sick to work.

When you guys hear about these executive orders, bear in mind that many of them are flatly unconstitutional and will get a judicial stay pretty quickly. Many of them will also be found invalid by the courts. Yes even the SC will throw out some of these.
