simply trying to avoid youtube and spotify on my phone is radicalizing me so much i swear. did you know a lot of audiobooks are flat out unavailable on cd. did you know some premium music albums are, too? digital or vinyl only.

DRM as a concept is so incredibly annoying. like oh wow digital media can be copied to multiple devices? you can edit things without damaging the original? change the way they're viewed? oh no no no. we need more profit. we need more control. so what if you had none of that.

i found a spanish workbook at the library which looked like it'd be helpful to me... but, like, the point of workbooks is they're easy to write in. (maybe it'd be more useful for teachers to make a lot of copies of exercises for a class, but copying that much for just me is impractical)
