Anyway, one reason is updated assets, while another reason is the two movies which I assume take up a huge chunk of data, especially if there's more than one dub for each.

Bit of a late response, but with all the fan-art that depicts slugcats with an emphasis on the cat part (not that those works are bad; they're really good), it's very refreshing to see a more slug-like interpretation.
Overall, this art is excellent.
