I should keep doing work on my baseball video game, but I was also want to try to make a hoverboarding gameplay prototype. I think it could be a good learning experience.

I've had no interest in watching these game showcase events, but then I go online and hear about what happened or what game got revealed. It makes me feel like I missed something big.

I'm a Texan. I was born and raised here. I wasn't raised to hate someone because of who they love, or what their skin color or pronouns are. It's terrible that the hateful ones have felt emboldened to do horrible things. I want Texas to become a place where everyone feels welcome here.

He and his husband did not deserve to endure such hatred. No one should have to deal with this kind of hatred because of their sexual orientation.

I think a good idea for an Elden Ring movie would be to have it take place before the start of the game. I think it would be cool to see the Night of Black Knives and The Shattering war that broke out on the big screen.

UnityTX rocks!

My portfolio website is back up. I updated it, but I think it could use some more work. I'll make more improvements later this week. www.dracouswalls.com #gamedesign #gamedev

I don't get how some Steam game reviews with less than 30 minutes of playtime get marked helpful by many users. I don't think 30 minutes is enough time to say a game is or isn't worth buying. Imagine if someone reviewed Elden Ring, but all they did was fight Tree Sentinel for 20 or 30 minutes.

I like the clever stuff you can pull in Baldur's Gate 3. I was swarmed by an army of rats. There were too many, so I went up to high ground and shot them with ranged attacks. Then a guy shows up, and I run away. I get him to slip on this greased floor I set up earlier, then I pummel him to death.

I've been dreading updating my portfolio and resume. Job hunting is so tiring, but it might be a good idea to look for work this year in case big changes happen at my day job in the near future. My job doesn't feel as secure as it was last year.

Here's gameplay of my Intergalactic Baseball batter training minigame. The goal is to hit enough targets to earn 100 points. Missing the targets causes the player to be electrocuted. If health reaches 0, it's game over. This stage is a tough one. #indiegame #indiedev #unrealengine

I've been practicing texture animation on my models.

I'm playing MLB The Show 25 right now, and I'm 99% sure that a Bilmuri song is playing. That's pretty cool to hear him in a mainstream video game. We need more rock music in sports games in general. Hip-Hop is nice, but variety is even better.

MVP Baseball 2005 was deemed the greatest, but the MVP games I had growing up were 2004 and NCAA 06. It's kinda funny how I missed 05 back then. On the upside, I've gotten to play 05 throughout adulthood.

Another Wednesday, you know what that means!

Wrapped up Black History Month by visiting a local high school to talk game development! 🎮 The students were amazing and so passionate about getting into the field. The future of gaming is might be a bit brighter than I thought! ✨ #GameDev

Happy about THPS 3+4 being a thing. Though I am concerned about the goal system for 4. They might have it like 3 instead of open world. I understand it would be harder to include NPCs and VA, but they could just have players go to icons to start goals like in the PS1 version of THPS4.

I've been having many moments at my day job lately where it really feels like I'm making a positive impact on people's lives.

I'm currently working on three games, and it's got me thinking: what will be the last game I work on when I eventually stop making games? If I had to choose, I'd love to create a SWAT Kats game, an Afro Samurai game, or the big one STATIC!

"This looks like a PS2 game!" Yeah and? PS2 games are peak, don't threaten me with a good time 😤

I've been pretty busy lately doing some QA and Gameplay tuning work for Mutant Football League 2. It dropped on Xbox Game Preview last week. There's a free trial if you want to try it out. #indiegame #gamedev www.xbox.com/en-us/games/...

Kendrick is a menace.

Mutant Football League 2 - A truly fabulous game. A laugh a minute, excellent commentary with one-liners that will have you in fits of laughter. The action is brutal & there's a decent American football game in there, too #MutantFootballLeague2 #Gaming #GamersUnite #Xbox #Playstation

I'm late to the party on this, but here's Liangelo's song "Tweaker" in Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition

The one thing I dread doing whenever I make a game, is making menus. They're not hard to implement, but it can get tedious. Especially, if you try to make a good looking menu while also making sure it functions well from a UX standpoint. It's also just not as fun as working on gameplay.

I get why people do it but unless you have funding already secured and in hand it's really outta pocket to message game developers "I got this cool idea for a game, you should make it for me and we can split the profit"

Funny story: The cover/game manual said MLB 2000, but game disc was MLB 2002. I've had this since I was a kid, and it's interesting how that happened.

I still have my PS1 copy of NHL Faceoff 2000 from when I was a kid.

Hey! You can download my prototype for my game Intergalactic Baseball: Training Grounds on Itch. I'm still working on mini-games designed to get players used to hitting each pitch type. The prototype just has the arcade mode. #gamedev #indiedev

I never heard of this game before, but I might give it a try if I can find it.

I wish Sony would bring back the Jet Moto series. I even bought Jet Moto 1 and 2 on my PS5 hoping for the slim chance it inspires them to bring it back. Although, I might try to make my own Jet Moto inspired game myself again. I tried to do that in college, but didn't have the skills for it yet.

I managed to get some freelance #gamedev work. Feels good to get some gigs while working on my passion project and getting money from my day job.

“PS2 graphics” should never be an insult because I love PS2 graphics 😱

I was watching the final season of Beastars on Netflix, and when I got to episode 12, I was so confused. I was thinking in my head, "there's no way that's how the series ends". Turns out Netflix is splitting the season into 2 parts. I didn't know this anime got the 2 parter treatment too.

My copy of Professional Baseball Spirits just arrived! I like Konami's Power Pros games, so I thought I'd give their other baseball franchise a try.

I was given these as a Christmas gift yesterday. Pretty cool. A funny thing about me is that I'm short, but my feet are a size 13.5 US. Most stores near me don't have 13.5 shoes so I usually have to settle for a 13 or a 14. I've found that size 13 wide width is the best alternative for me.

I honestly haven't done a lot of work on this game recently. But I did add something. For the minigame in this video, you lose lives/health if the ball doesn't hit a target. I made it so the player now gets shocked whenever that happens, but right now it's just a lightning VFX I had lying around.
