One misfortune of my time in Silicon Valley was encountering a couple of members of the LessWrong apocalyptic AI cult in person. They are best avoided.

Elon Musk's companies have infamously had to develop entire systems of upward management to stop him from further harming workers and the basic operations of each business.

I have needed to police everything I eat and drink for well over a decade. That gets very much harder if I cannot trust that the labels on food actually tell me what is in it.

Arielle Kane was hired to work on a program at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid that was trying to reduce maternal deaths. Last weekend, she was let go. “This model that has a lot of potential is just being gutted. What does that mean for all of the potential impacts we could have had?"

My hope is that impeachment and conviction would not be a matter of what Trump does; but of the public not giving Congress a choice otherwise. I do not know what it would take for that to happen.

I understood that @tessafisher.bsky.social was asking about Vought, rhetorically.

I went through a significant amount of peppermint and lavender tea to offset the taste of Paxlovid. But having the drug was much better than not having it. Good luck over there, for whatever it is worth.

This is the recommended adult vaccine schedule. If you are behind for any reason, or if you aren’t sure of your status, call your doctor *tomorrow*.

I am now wondering about the degree of information security compromise at all of Musk's companies.

Last I had checked; RFK Jr. was pretending that celiac was due to glyphosate pesticides. Rather than the reality that people with the same gene variants that I have were getting celiac 2000 years ago.

I have an autoimmune disease that is actually treated with diet (celiac). RFK Jr. and those with him are threatening me too with their undermining food safety. Per your point that what they claim and what they actually do are two very different things.

I have ridden that line; with a stop in Nanjing. It has pretty good bridges.
