While federal action on climate change is moving in the wrong direction, there are very real things we can do locally that can have a BIG impact. In KC, that means closing the Hawthorn coal-fired power plant. Our window for action on the climate is closing rapidly; we don’t have 4 years to waste.

- The huge amount of clean energy infrastructure we need to build in a very short amount of time and the real risk local opposition by a few squeaky wheels can have to getting those projects built (2/3)

Of course that assumes that non-voters vote like voters in their area, which isn’t a great assumption, but could still be interesting to do an extrapolation of what it would look like if all adult voters in an area voted like the voters in their area, what would have happened in say the govr’s race.

Ah didn’t think about that with eligible voter counts, but % of total adult population would be interesting too! I’m basically curious how far a very big voter turnout game could swing things in Missouri writ large.

Would be interested to see voter turnout by neighborhood (percent of registered voters who voted and percent of eligible voters who voted). Would also be interested in seeing total counts of registered and eligible voters who didn’t vote by neighborhood (or whatever area the data is reported at).
