Birds are OP for the following reasons: 1. Elite flight skill unlocked 2. They sound like computers 3. Are actual dinosaurs

Does anyone know how bookshelves are supposed to be arranged when you have a metric butt load of books?

I’m with @dankmccoy.bsky.social on the Atlantic Center v. Coney Island DMV debate. I’ve heard people go to Coney for the DMV—and I don’t know what kind of garden of earthy delights the have going on, but Atlantic Center is like totally fine. @flophousecat.bsky.social @flophousepodcast.bsky.social

I believe Reddit’s downvote function is their most important feature. The world is plagued with bad ideas that bad actors can too easily amplify through algorithm manipulation and other tactics. The downvote function gives the Reddit community a voice to shout bad ideas down.

Democrats: “WE don’t have a problem certifying YOUR guy! Look how grown-up WE are!” [Gestures to rabies-infected clown wearing an exploding vest.]

I, for one, welcome this bold, new age of New Year (especially Lunar New Year) drone dragons.

I believe the world would be a measurably better place if all internet content was just turtles riding Tech Decks.

It only just occurred to me that Moo Deng will grow up to be a former child star. We’ll Google her and her mug shot will come up… Her Wikipedia page will have a “controversies” section…

I feel like every year, my holiday experience becomes more and more dependent on whatever Fortnite is doing.

In all my years of living in New York City, I’ve learned nothing can stop this town except for a light drizzle.

Passing US immigration in *Minneapolis*, the officer behind the glass says: "Name?" Michael Bradshaw "What do you do, Michael?" I'm a creative director "Where do you live?" New York "Where in New York?" Brooklyn "Where in Brooklyn?" Williamsburg Then, without looking up... "Oof! Expensive!"

When my colleague asked what type of place I’d like to meet for a drink, I said, “one of those wooden, English pubs with a crest hanging over the door.” To which he replied, no problem.

I can't get over the messages written on the bullets. He wrote, "Deny", "Delay", and "Depose" on the casings, but, the book is "Delay, Deny, Defend". Was it a mistake or poetic license?

This is the wildest news day I’ve seen maybe ever… - Trump confirms insanity to start 1/20 - Danial Penny acquitted - UHC assassin arrested, ID’ed - Nikki Giovanni dies - Mystery drones hovering over NJ - Jay-Z, Diddy accused of raping 13yo - Assad regime toppled And it’s only Monday, you guys

Sleeping on planes is a super power I do not possess.

The plan is to put good vibes into the universe and hope it will reciprocate.

Taking a break from Fortnite Ch. 6 to stare at my phone for a while. My digital diet is… fine. Taylor Swift

Can Ozempic undo all the Thanksgiving binging I did last week? If so, sign me up. Taylor Swift (Btw, I’m just going to end all my posts with “Taylor Swift” from now on and see how the algo handles it.)

According to the Internet, Fortnite’s “Ready up” button is disabled and, of course, my first instinct when I encountered the issue was to think they just didn’t want me, specifically, to join the game.

In the history of Fortnite (of which I am a huge fan and avid player), Juice WRLD is the first skin depicting a real human who has passed away and I have no clue how to feel about that. Unlike other celebrity skins (Snoop Dogg, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, et al) Juice WRLD is a free download.

Why don’t other platforms use Reddit’s comment voting system? Is it proprietary? Seems (mostly?) useful for combatting trolls.

I predict Bluesky will be defined by ideologues and trolls as “liberal” Twitter. The wider media will bite (they always do) and there will be “platform wars” a la Misc vs /b/, except with global consequences. Then, Elon and Vivek will shutter Bluesky, citing woke inefficiencies or some bs.

Trying to explain to my wife what ROFLcon was and realizing it’s just my Bluesky feed now
