Colbert arguably was trying to draw out Mamdani’s talents as a politician. For instance Colbert volunteered the right wing antisemitic “Jews will not replace us” to remind the audience of the predominantly right-wing sources of actual anti-Semitism.

I don't want to see a single person saying this was warranted by the carnage in Gaza, that this was for Palestinians.
I am a Palestinian person and I do not want senseless acts of terror committed in my name. I don't want Jewish organizations to need extra security because of fear of violence.

It’s the lying about his infirmity that is now the problem. The cover-up is what the current leadership of the Democrats engaged in as well as the punditocracy engaged in. It’s understandable why you might shrug this off.

During a convo after I was asked my thoughts about “discourse” that this documentary normalizes the occupation. After watching it, I’m even more angry that was even a topic of conversation. I don’t know how you watch No Other Land and walk away thinking it normalizes anything 2/
