Productivity requires taking time for the things that keep me sane and productive. And yeah, BG3 is fantastic. Loved it. 😊

It is so good.

Not to be forgotten, of course, is the fact that this search tool *also* lets us see how much of our work is in this particular pirate cove of the Internet. So that’s fun, too.

I love them too! Just brilliant work by the designer and even more striking in person with the gold accents!

I need to check out the US version, I guess!

I’ve not seen the US version. But my goodness the UK version is delightful! Let me know which you prefer!

If it's good you should turn it in today! If it's bad ... well, we won't tell you if you continuously forget. :)

Thanks! 😂 Got to be honest, it doesn’t feel great trying to peddle books with so much crashing down. But I also pour a lot into my work and don’t want to see it wasted.

I'm not certain at the moment. My best advice would be to watch Amazon/bookseller listings. Honestly, they usually get the release dates before we poor authors do!

I didn't set out to redefine the Hundred Years War, but discovering that I needed to do so made this the most difficult project I've ever attempted. The story of these years is nothing short of thrilling, and I can't wait to share it with you. Same book. Two titles. One massive leap. 3/3

Yes, one book with two titles: October 9, my UK friends will get THE TWO HUNDRED YEARS WAR: THE BLOODY CROWNS OF ENGLAND AND FRANCE, 1292-1492. October 21, my US friends will get BLOODY CROWNS: A NEW HISTORY OF THE HUNDRED YEARS WAR. I'll be talking quite a bit about the book soon. For now... 2/

Thank you for the thought. I think I have an account on Substack but have not used it. For now I post longer form things on my website blog.

Addendum 2: If you’re wondering how the details of his killing are known: Though shot, one man survived and crawled out of the bodies after the gestapo left. 42/end

Addendum 1: A thank you to the Baylor History professor who assigned Bloch’s book to his first-year class in historiography. I still re-read it. 41/

And if we are to be in any way deserving of the legacy of the man who died as the shots echoed over the grasses that night, we have no choice but to fight. 40/
