Surtur REALLY likes French Fries

Yesterday Surtur was a bit off towards Freyja after she went for a well-cat vet visit, but today seems more calm. #FridaysWithFreyja

Watching the new episode of Severance right before going to sleep can have very interesting dream effects. I don’t remember any details, but know that much.

I thought Severance was a workplace comedy of the style of the Office. Rarely have I been more wrong about a show.

Remember this picture, & others like it, every time you hear someone in your city say "we're not Amsterdam." This was #Amsterdam in the 1970s. Many of the cities we admire made better choices regarding cars in the past. and are still making better choices today. Better choices instead of excuses.

We are now further away from 2000AD than 2000AD was when it started.

I have to go grocery shopping but I may have a problem. At least there is no #caturday rush.

Sad to report that the family of Barbara Clegg - writer of the marvellous Doctor Who story Enlightenment - have asked me to share the news that she died on 7th January aged 98. RIP Barbara x

When AOL and Prodigy started taking off in the early 90s, our neighbor bought a bunch of cement slab and busted it up and sold it online as "Real Pieces of the Berlin Wall" and "Real Pieces of the Great Wall of China" and that guy realized what the internet was gonna be before everyone else

While there are lots of people starting up BlueSky accounts, and there is a lot I like about what they are building here, we're still not paying for anything yet. This isn't a charity or a public utility, someone is getting paid, or planning to get paid.

The comic that got us demonetised on Facebook back in August. (We’re no longer on Facebook).

Surtur joined in for the celebration of Baldur, Freyja, and Heimdall’s gotcha day four years ago.

How terribly sad to hear of the passing of David McIntee, writer of my fav Virgin New Adventure, Sanctuary, and someone I was pleased to commission to do Unregenerate, a DW audio, when I was at Big Finish. We spent some fun days at conventions in LA too. Big love to Lesley. RIP

And my belief still holds: Lipps, Inc only had one hit because they couldn't imagine Minneapolis as Funkytown, where Prince had such a career he was able to turn CHASKA into Funkytown.

it is too cold and slick out to leave the house. Time to hibernate until spring. Or maybe for five years.

I am currently obsessed by Life in the Wires by Frost* music.apple.com/us/album/lif...

The #RagnarokCats getting along.

Awaiting the treats. #ragnarokcats #fridayswithfreyja

Surturs ears go very flat once Ratatoskr gets close enough.

I really do like seeing St Paul and Minneapolis when heading home after a multi-state drive. Even (or perhaps especially) when it is cold outside.

This is 100% true. It’s why I think so many people misunderstand FIGHT CLUB. That was a movie only makes complete sense if you lived in a world where you were told all the revolutions were won and we were on the road to boring, meaningless prosperity. There’s been nothing like it post 9/11.

Crazy thing is... it's true. All of it. It's all true. RIP to Alice Brock, 83, of Massachusetts.

It’s crazy to think about how many fewer humans there were when your parents and grandparents were born

Relaxing with a cup of coffee and #FridaysWithFreyja

Sleepy Surtur

It is #FridaysWithFreyja here as well.

If you want a shorthand for the state of reality-awareness in the US media, then it's worth knowing that The Onion spent a lot of yesterday fielding requests for interviews with Bryce Tetraeder.

This is brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Of course. As relevant for Christians I would dare say. The Ricouer quote about a ‘second naivety’ perfectly sums up the idea of reconstruction after deconstruction. ❤️👍

Cartoon: My bluesky fail whale updated for 2024. Enjoy.

Ragnarok is here.
