When I see someone wearing a cross, I have to resist the urge to ask them, “Do you REALLY believe the Bible, that God had a son so he could be tortured to death to make up for something ‘Adam and Eve’ did after being convinced by a talking snake?”

Christianity: Because God had a son so he could be tortured to death to "save" us from what God would do to us if he didn't torture his son to death

I handled dishonest people who teach "Bible study" in several of my books. Here's one:

Big surprise - you didn't "respond point by point" because YOU CAN'T.
Jesus meant ALL OF THAT LITERALLY. Read the sections in context: he BELIEVED you'll go to "hell" if you lust -- so PLUCK YOUR EYES OUT!
He thought God feeds birds, therefore "take no thought for the morrow"... etc.

Make sure you're honest - that is, point out that Jesus took it all LITERALLY and not as "metaphors," "irony," etc.
Good luck.

You seem to be defending Christians, and thus you're a Christian? I don't want to assume, but why would you call yourself a Christian if you don't follow the Christian Bible?
Any of these reasons perhaps:

Are you a Christian? Do you "follow Jesus"?
(Answer: no, you don't. NOBODY is that stupid.)

Can you imagine what it is like to live in fear of the same god you are commanded to worship? What a miserable way to go through the only life they'll ever get.

I don't know what you're talking about - I HATE ATHEISTS. The audacity of not believing in A SINGLE ONE of the 5000+ gods that humans have invented. Most atheists don’t even believe God had his son violently tortured to death to save us from Himself. Morons.
Which gods do you believe in, and why?

We have Leviticus 19:27, "You shall not shave around the sides of your heads, neither shall you disfigure the corners of your beard."
Do Orthodox Jews wear their beards/sideburns like that because they follow that RULE in the Torah, or because they think it looks cool?
