For decades the NIH has led a public health campaign credited with saving thousands of babies from dying in their sleep. The administration's cuts come as sleep-related infant deaths have been rising.

This is driving me crazy too. Not long ago 10% universal tariffs were considered the worst-case scenario, something even Trump wasn’t crazy enough to impose. Now have those PLUS 125% tariffs on China. Together, these raise raise inflation by about as much as original “Liberation Day” tariffs did!

Climate change is impacting kids now. Heat. Smoke. Floods. These cause stress, respiratory distress, pain, illness, & school closure. They all cause learning loss that disproportionately affects poor & marginalized kids, 240+ million of them. We can’t wait to act on climate. Our kids need us.

The U.S is the wealthiest country in the history of the world. We should not have the highest rate of child poverty of nearly every major country on earth. We should have the lowest.   It's time to end this international embarrassment & create an economy that works for all.

NEW: A tuberculosis outbreak that started in Wyandotte County, Kansas, has grown to be the largest in the U.S. since the CDC started tracking the illness in the 1950s.

The National Science Foundation has canceled all grant review panels this week. It's unclear how long the pause could last.

It's happening as we knew it would. Farm workers, who would be picking citrus right now, aren't coming to work. www.nbcbayarea.com/news/califor...
