My son came back from a holiday in the US with gifts - from a Pistacho place enamel mug to NASA baseball cap & other stuff - none of them were cheap & all were made in China! It made me laugh. What western country can produce these goods at home without massive retail price increases?

We do understand the fear of Israelis about Iran, but the actions of Israel down through the decades & horrific current slaughter of the innocents in Gaza, with full US backing & support, is no way to win friends in the region. Honestly, in Europe we're sick at heart about it from a moral viewpoint.

Surely the low-hanging fruit is the huge number of empty and derelict buildings & those in need of refurbishment. MORE supports needed to buy & refurb them. Simply put, an unacceptably large swathe of people cannot even come near to affording ANY new build property. Not OK.

My issue is not the name-calling, nor swearing in general (I love it!) but I can't help flinching when I see the c word (that is uniquely a woman's intimate body part) being used as the very worst thing you can call somebody you absolutely despise. Do you ever wonder why that is? Friendly point 🙂
