“It’s a distraction”, even in the most sympathetic interpretation, fundamentally says “this doesn’t matter”. Schumer is literally saying trans rights don’t matter. There’s no way around it.

We are doing LA all this week

Are you also currently in the sunny state of California right now???

This kind of thing might be worse because finding hypocrisy in two sentiments that may or may not have any real world overlap is genuinely deranged.

I want to be crystal clear that I’m still against trading for Durant but if it’s explicitly a one-year rental thing to make a run and then open cap space it flips into awesome.

I don’t think 60% TS% on 24% USG qualifies for “chucker” in the traditional sense. Wolves badly need another guard who can create and penetrate with his dribble. He plays a LOT harder than DLo on both ends too. Dosunmo isn’t good.

Say it with me, loud enough for dem consultants to hear: people don’t vote for policies, they vote for how charismatically you can sell your policies

Franz was .361 his second year, so that’s kinda misleading. But yeah I’m not saying it’s even likely
comment in response to post
He was pretty close to average in his first two seasons 🤷‍♂️

26 year old who is an excellent rim protector (6.8 BLK%) and rebounder (25.9 DREB%) who shoots 70% at the rim and is very cheap.

These are the real questions, thank you

It’s an overpay for sure but I like the fit and the Magic will be a lot better in key areas they desperately needed help with (namely shooting)

This is a confusing take because it’s OKC that’s the defense>offense team and the Pacers are reversed

I think next season it’s technically only 54 but then he’s reported to want a 2/120 extension immediately.

I want a center that’s duplicative of Gobert’s skills but cheaper and younger to either replace him or back him up, and a guard who can penetrate a defense to take creation pressure off Ant. Feel like Claxton/Coby White while getting off Gobert would be a home run offseason.
comment in response to post
I actually like Claxton and wouldn’t mind getting him at all. I thought he made closer to like 12-15 before I checked tho

25m plus Durant 60m (I was off by 10m)
comment in response to post
I math’s wrong it’d be 85m
comment in response to post
Personally I’d like a third option.

Getting off the Gobert contract has positive value to me.
comment in response to post
Depends on what for but yeah I’m not a fan of the idea.

Was hoping the “never heard of” part would convey sufficient skepticism

As long as they don’t include Rob I’ll talk myself into it
comment in response to post
Well, he would have to opt in to be tradable, which he has no reason to do, so… But it would have to be Gobert so keep the confetti ready

No more or less, from what I can gather

13 LeBrons and 2 Rudy Goberts of course. Crunch-time death lineup of 5 LeBrons.
comment in response to post
Yeah just being less beholden to that kind of player in both minutes and salary cap seems like a win.
comment in response to post
“80% of Rudy Gobert at 1/3 the price” is the dream, man

Hate to anchor too hard on the current finals but it's an interesting finals that's useful to think about because neither team had a particularly traditional path to get here.
comment in response to post
As with most things it requires good judgment. If you're waiting for Andrew Wiggins to grow into a real star, you'll be waiting a long time. But, both starting Finals PGs were traded from the teams that drafted them before they developed into All-NBA players...
comment in response to post
I do think patience is an underrated virtue in the NBA and has directly contributed to the success of both finals teams this year. Personally, if I were in charge, I would just nail the perfect mid-point between patience and proactiveness.

NBA Finals breakout star Aaron Wiggins? Wow, everything is coming up Timberwolves!
