Was that a 3d model that you carved with a CNC?

Titan Noir is definitely more on the whodunnit side

Have you checked out any nick harkaway? Both Tigerman and Titan Noir might be what you are looking for

Thanks - it is interesting, the woodworking started because I wanted to make one of my sculpts in wood, and then I realized how much I just like working with wood in general, so it kind of became its own thing :)

Sure! So I'm putting together a process write up, because I took a lot of photos of every part of making these. I'll share that soon - but the tools I used were a shaper origin for the inlay, the carving I sculpted in zbrush and carved with a CNC machine

Thanks Alec! Not quite done yet, I'm building a piece that will go between them and replace the other console we have right there now. So more work to do!

Ha, it's one of those things where I had grand plans for more things to put on them - eventually I get around to it!

Yeah, time is money, so it sounds worth it to me

That's awesome - festool stuff is expensive but worth it - at least the tools I have - which is just the random orbital sanders and a shaper which I use for joinery

I try to remind myself that me being dissatisfied does not usually translate into the audience for the work being dissatisfied, and it's okay if I'm not 100% happy with the work. Deadlines are nice because it stops me from working on the same piece forever.
