That’s fun, we have a huge snapping turtle that comes up from the river every year and lays her eggs all around our property.

100% there is something magical to biting into our own grown strawberries and raspberries. The taste is nothing like you will find at your grocery store.

I would say you are correct. Microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi possess specific enzymes to break down the sand silt and clays in our soil and release the chemical compounds that plant use to grow.

We used to use those amendments in our gardening as well, but if you start boosting your soil microbes, and build your soil food web, you won’t need to buy all that stuff. At least this is what I’ve learned so far.
