The librettist walked the audience through the story and the singers were AMAZING and parts of it are sung in Tut. (I was so emotional I cried.) I can't wait to see it fully staged next summer! πππ

Ricky Millie Bobby and her family drama was the least interesting parts of those movies.

Right now, I'm trying to decide between two different tulle tops for the flower part but I already have the "stalk" covered with a green velvet jumpsuit! πΊπΌπ·

I will try to make these things happen but I'm not going to force myself. And more importantly, I won't feel bad about not forcing myself. If it happens, it happens. I'm just glad to know that the creative parts of myself that I thought were long dormant are still alive and kicking.

And now, here I am--12 years into steampunk, a decade into cosplay, two years shy of 50--having the most fun I've had since I was a child. I've had a steampunk story brewing in my brain for a while and now I'm thinking about doing a comic based on family lore. My brain is tingling.

By the time I hit junior year of high school, I'd settled on journalism being the way to still be a writer *and* have some money in my pocket. It took me YEARS to regain the whimsy I'd shelved as a child. Discovering #steampunk and getting into #cosplay saved my imagination.
