While I personally wouldn't abuse a bug like this because I want mtgo to be as analogous to paper magic as possible, I understand people with the attitude of "everyone else COULD be abusing this bug, why shouldn't I?" As much as it sucks, mtgo has never been a perfect reflection of paper magic.

It's shitty but I kinda get it.If you're new to the client or don't have a lot of resources a league entry is ~$10 and if there's even a small chance that someone else later in your league could use that same bug to beat you then you should logically abuse the bug to beat your opponent. it sucks tho

I also think adding objective metrics isn't going to do anything to limit pubstomping and will probably make it worse. Most people's homebrew decks that fit the spirit of a 3 are gonna fold completely if someone pulls out a deck made to win that technically fits within the category 3. Also FoW why?

We do get excited about in universe sets, just not stylistically incoherent beach episodes that care more about referencing other IPs than being magic. Thunder junction, murders, and to a much lesser extent duskmourn all had this problem.

We've seen the stats, it's 1/20 AT BEST. I've played this game since BETA and I've had it hit lifetime SINGLE DIGITS and when it does it's always FOIL. Straight up BULSHIT in my game I spent TEN DOLLARS for. I'd spend FIVE MORE DOLLARS to make this card WORK.

How many words is the right number to have in the name of a magic card? I think magic cards shouldn't ever have more than three words in the name. It can be four or even five if some of the words are "of" "the" "to" etc.
Looking at "this town ain't big enough" as a terrible card name.

What if we instead obliterating bolt an otter and attack. Their best block is now 2/2 mouse with otter and nemesis and challenger with terrors. So they take 5 from nemesis, 5 from hero and 2 from burst is 12.

"block nemesis with a 5/5 and take 5, block the 1/1s on the heroes and take 5 from those, and then block the challenger with a 5/5. this takes 10 damage, and we can deal 2 more damage with the burst in our hand, getting to 12." I only count 11 from this what am I missing? The2/2 isn't trample right?

I think it's usually 12 if we play against a normal human person and 10 if it's an omniscient puzzle entity or if the human person we're playing against is really good.
I think most people would block 2/2 mouse with otter and terrors on the heartfire and emberheart which is 3+5+4 with the bolt.

I forgot about the trample but I think 10 is still the highest number if we do what the other person said, burst an otter and attack, they put otter on the 2/2 heartfire and terrors on the nemesis and challenger which leaves them taking 10. 5 from nemesis trigger and 5 from heartfire.

Kill both otters and flunge. Their best block is the small heartfire and the emberheart which leaves them taking 5+3+2.

They just block big heartfire with the otter, put the terrors on little heartfire and emberheart. That's nine total if you bolt your own nemesis.

Since the whole deck is tutors you can very easily get your entire deck empty once omniscience has resolved at which point you can either take infinite turns with Nexus of fate or loop season's past and burst lightning. The main and the Nexus of fate and seasons past in the sideboard makes sense. 1/
