Second test (more important, arguably): is the UK an outlier?
That's what happened in 2022. The sharp increases in UK yields couldn't be explained by moves happening in other countries.
But this time, save for a few days after the Budget, the UK is moving in lockstep with the US

Plus young guys trying to get rich quick through trading (everything from Pokémon cards to crypto) and "learning" how to do it from the Paul brothers, Tate, etc. Once the hooks are in on YouTube / tiktok they then start listening to their political views too...
