As history begins to rhyme more and more forcefully it's beginning to look less like WW III and more like a repeat of the runup to WW II. Many of the ideas expressed by the major figures have shockingly precise analogues from ~90 years ago...

Sounds like the Supreme Court is on the verge of declaring the Constitution unconstitutional.

Uhhh... Didn't the Boston Tea Party happen because the king & parliament of England imposed a customs duty (tariff) on the import of tea to the colonies without representation FROM the colonies? Isn't that why the us constitution makes congress the sole body that can impose a tax? Am I wrong?

My thought precisely. Vandalism is a crime, punishable by law in every state. And if the vandalism is severe or endangers lives it can have a long prison sentence. It's wrong even as protest, but it's NOT a capital crime.

Stupider b/c he's incapable of self correction, unlike George Wallace. From the Wiki article: "Wallace eventually apologized and met with Vivian Malone Jones and James Hood, the black students who he had attempted to block from integrating the University of Alabama"

Or like beginning a home renovation by standing on the front porch & throwing a couple of grenades in through the front door. Without a plan for what to do with what's left.
