This - from @hcrichardson.bsky.social on FB essential toolkit for resistance.

wracking my brains to think of someone who would have had access to a police uniform, a police-issue plate carrier, and a police car

Authoritarians want you to feel isolated and alone, to feel like their vision of the world is the only one. That’s why taking part in public protests matters. You connect with other people like you and you show those numbers off to the world. It’s a great feeling. Try it!

it's Saturday, and it's time for "this week in stupid: June 14 edition" — Kayleigh explains it, ICE goons detain it, and so much more... thanks for reading, and please sign up for my daily newsletter so you never miss a post —

When journalists abandon truth-telling and readers stop demanding it, we accept things as they are. It leaves no path for things to get better, and every opportunity for them to grow worse. . Molly White, Citationneeded.news

I’ve seen a lot of hand wringing about the dangers of going to No Kings protests and gently, I want to tell people to chill a little. These are permitted marches and the point is to be out there and seen en masse. Please don’t scare off people who are maybe going to their very first protest

I'm afraid we will see much more of this.

there’s got to be some kind of statute of limitations on this crap. I get moral hazard, I get all of that, it’s just completely insane to say that this guy who built an American life for 30 years isn’t American.

Four words.

"No Kings" non-violent protest!

"..the social tool of nonviolent resistance.. It was effective in that it had a way of disarming the opponent. It exposed his moral defenses. It weakened his morale, and at the same time it worked on his conscience. It also provided a method..to struggle to secure moral ends through moral means."MLKjr

"His actions were illegal-"...

Israel unilaterally & preemptively attacked Iran. If history has taught us anything, this is one form escalation that happens when a government faces no consequences for committing genocide UN & all countries globally must uphold international human rights law & force the Israeli government to stop

Meant "Well written!"

Well written?

In The Descent of Man (1871), Darwin observed that the least informed often express opinions with the most confidence—an early reflection of the Dunning-Kruger effect. His insight highlights how true understanding fosters humility, while ignorance breeds misplaced certainty.
