My TV has like 14,000,000 free channels with its built-in app. It always ends up on some random channel. Lately, it's been on Modern Marvels, and I'm enthralled every time I turn it on. I may never get off the couch if I ever end up on the Antiques Roadshow channel.

One of my hobbies is synchronized holiday lighting, which involves making the lights dance to the music. Today, I added the big matrix on the side of my chimney—it's 3,000 lights spaced every 2"—the frame is 12' across the top, 13' across the bottom, 4'4" at the far end, and 9'6" at the near end.

Every tech job I've ever had, I got while living in Portland. This includes Docker, Sysdig, Google, AWS, Puppet, VMware, Intel, and Microsoft. Only Puppet and Intel were local companies. I've always enjoyed visiting "the valley" but always enjoyed living in PDX immensely more.

Helpful hint #2 for migrating from Twitter to Bluesky - once you've used Proto or BlueArk to bring your old Tweets over to your Bluesky account, use Redact to automatically delete your Tweet history. That will preserve your account (to avoid pirating your handle) but get rid of your post history.
