LEFT IS BEST! A Saskatchewan leftist who thinks it's time to take the gloves off and go radical. Centrists not welcome.

LOL Not to be outdone by "Axe the Tax" the NDP brain trust has come up with "Callous Conservative Cuts" How embarrassing, after they actually had a chance to use their power for change, but squandered it.

Correct. Every time I see an article like this I wonder "Where is the proposed mass transit plan that is being put on pause to study this charlatan's latest grift?"

I'm in favour of ANYTHING to get rid of the toxic notion of "vote splitting" Ranked choice, PR, it doesn't matter, as long as we recognize that the 18th century democratic reforms have NOT resulted in 21st century democracy. Not. Even. Close. I'd also like to see spoiled ballots reported.

Tempting to say "shelters are better than encampments" but that's what they WANT isn't it? Applause for being so humanitarian in their funding of shelters and food banks. Meanwhile, systemic causes of poverty, hunger and homelessness are ignored. Politicians lack the courage to solve hard problems.

I hope you don't hold it against me for boosting the story that talks about how NOT bulldozing homeless encampments has been a positive policy... Even if it follows previous terrible events... I have hope 🤏 that maybe we're learning not to use armed gangs (police) to solve social problems.

It's easy to criticize. What I want to know is how do we fix it? We're not in charge, and the gatekeepers are ruthless in their ambition. How do we organize in a meaningful way? How do we revolutionize the system from outside? We live in the future, goddammit! Things were supposed to be glorious!

Yup, and here in #Sask whenever our crowns DO turn a profit, the first thing we do is sell. Come to think of it, Moe sold STC because it wasn't making a profit. 🤔 I guess either way, our government gets out of the service provider business!

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying! They had a choice between more Democratic status quo, or a radical conservative fascist. They got their radical figure, but not sure they'll really appreciate the kind of revolution he wants to impose on them.

Funny thing is, back in the 80's when we heard about global warming, that was indeed the case. But now, WE LIVE IN THAT FUTURE, and that technology has been made and has been ready for us to use for decades! It was also the time when big oil managed to purchase our governments once and for all 😞

Idk how many times I've heard "people aren't radical" as a response to wanting social democratic reforms. How much more "radical" can it get than when entire populations have lost faith in their Neoliberal overlords and wish the system could be destroyed and rebuilt! That's REVOLUTION!

True. So, when your initial thread complained about the no vs yes approach, are you sure you're not simply reacting to media framing of the issue? Climate has been an issue for 40 years of my life, and only "no no no" gets coverage, and political reaction. Never for "yes"

You handsome devil! I'll follow you through the gates of Hell if it means getting a progressive message out. LEFT IS BEST
