There's more "content" out there than anyone will ever be able to consume, in any genre they want. More independent media coming every month than ever before. And still, the idea of making it worse and faster appeals to some people, and I don't get it.

Maybe. I use component on a WEGA and it looks immaculate. Quality of the tv, and cables, matters too.
