Tester. Agilist. Writer. I'm new here - I used to have separate IT & writing accounts. Trying to merge them. I do #testing & "software stuff" as TestSheepNZ, I do #booksky as Meike Torkelson. You've probably guessed that I have an identify crisis.

I am not taking on DIY as a diet fad. 😅

Yeah, feels that way.

My gym is always an incredibly welcoming place. But I noticed today how the lady on reception had a great energy with everyone coming in. Whether just signing in, or needing help. I was sure to complement her as such on my way out.

With changing odds and some items like first to score and half time, it's a good test. I am up $65 but... it's all monopoly money.

Ah. This is what I get for having the sports on at work and muted. You read between the lines a lot. [We are a gambling company so have been doing some testing against the game all in the line of work]

Looked like the game started off with pictures of police/firemen killed on duty. Does that happen every year, or does it just feel extra political this year?

Not seen it since 1991, but I remember a line that "I am not a fucking machine..." Which works on two levels.

Sisko lied and cheated and was complicit in the death of other men. Janeway too... if that man was Tuvix...

That's a very positive attitude to have. 💜

It hurts, because (esp as an ND), you feel something's wrong with you. You're not good enough.

Relatable. I have had a couple of people who I thought were really close friends, and... yeah.

It's a real shirt show. It's like the craziest circus, run by a scaried clown than Tim Curry's IT.

Continuing with Glow. Wincing at Tamme's bad back (reminding me of my partner's woes). And I'm not sure about Sheila discarding her wolf persona. It feels... very Ally Sheedy's 'glow up' that no-one wanted in Breakfast Club.

We have a 'free speech' movement here, and they're almost always right-wing bigots who consider they have a right to their speech, but want to silence others.

Yeah. I know a lot of people mentally struggling right now. It's a lot. 💜

Oh, yeah, that'll help with that cost of living crisis he pretends to care for... when he needs your vote.

She's mentioned in Harvey Fiersteins autobiography. And how useless the police were when she was discovered dead. 💜

Continuing with Glow, but someone has just died of AIDS, and, ooomph, just need to take a moment... We know so much about AIDS now, but in the 80s when this was breaking, there was so much we didn't know. It's very easy to lose that.

Because all our checks and balances are out the window at this point.
