Isn't five years kind of a locked in point, though? If they're keeping Pike as the pseudo-lead, he's going to be out around then just because of his storyline.
Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll pivot to a TOS reboot-esque, where we get new episodes set between the TOS episodes. Could be neat.
