I’m a recently retired Fed and it breaks my heart to talk to my former colleagues about what is going on. Truly some of the brightest people I have ever met and so caring about safety in our country. The disparaging comments can really drag a person down but they are remaining as strong as can be.

With what funding? Analysis from the Rockefeller Institute of Government shows that in 2022 CA contributed $83 billion more in taxes than it received from the fed government. NY and NJ also paid more in taxes than they received. Both TX and FL received more than they contributed.
