With the main day that some of you may dread being over just wanted to reiterate that “It’s your life” this song is very very true, lyrics spot on, your life, you control it and you are paramount to anything.

💚🎄This time of year can provoke a lot of different emotions with people. One of the most extreme ones is panic attacks. These are not to be taken likely and can feel like you are having a heart attack and dying. The overwhelming sensation can trigger a catalogue of mental health symptoms❤️

So many people I work with (including myself) have PTSD or Complex PTSD. When I first got diagnosed many years ago I thought that PTSD was something that only affected ex service men and women I could not of been further from the truth it can affect anybody. It’s complex and varied.

💚The best things in life are free💚 As we are entering the winter months, cold dark nights life can seem a little isolated. This can really affect your mental health and emotions. With this in mind it’s so important to work with what we have around us and utilise it.

💚 Always, ALWAYS, put yourself first 💚 💚 It’s ok to say no ❤️ saying no respectively and you don’t have to do it with an explanation or lie is absolutely fine and you are taking care of yourself, filling your own cup before filling others 💚

💚Do you suffer with anxiety, PTSD, agoraphobia, depression?❤️PRACTICE 💚Do you make a habit of putting yourself or finding yourself in situations you really don’t want to be in? 🛑STOP 💚Do you spend time and energy with people you really don’t want to be spending time with? STOP 🛑

💚PART TWO PTSD 💚 As previously said there are so many different types of PTSD I personally have complex and secondary trauma, and complex it is, hard to explain, hard to understand but I’ve become really good at managing it as I’ve learnt the right coping mechanisms 💚

💚 Childhood Trauma-part two💚 💚Coping and support for children my favourite personality to work with children are, drama and art therapy and sports therapy. I find I get really positive results from these with children I work with 💚

💚Childhood Trauma Part One 💚 When children complain to parents, friends, family about things that have hurt them they simply need and want validation, to be heard and acknowledged. Minimising or erasing their experiences simply pushes them away further and impacts their mental health 💚
