Next I tackle what feels right. Then I think about or play around with the rest of the feedback.
I let it sit for a bit, then read the full to see if I want to do another round of revision, polish it up, send it to my agent, or put it aside for a while.

Creating a dummy or storyboard helps with pacing.
I'm a huge fan of @joycekay.bsky.social's Plot Clock. For PBs, it's possible that illustrations cover one or more of the plot points.

I'll definitely have a Google form sign up link for critique groups in the #PBParty finalist announcement.
In the meantime, if you're up for writing a new PB and a critique swap, the PBParty New Draft Challenge & Critique Train starts on Thursday!

We definitely need to get you a great PB critique group, @martifuerst.bsky.social!
Friends & family usually go too light on feedback & probably don't understand the delicate balance of text and illustrations and other PB aspects.
Look for a Google form link in the #PBParty finalist announcement!

I'll definitely have a Google form in the #PBParty finalist announcement to put together PB critique groups. Since it isn't directly for contest prep, it'll be open to agented PB creatives, too.

I love having a couple of critique groups and trusted critique partners so I can revise a lot before anyone sees a manuscript again.
Yay that exchanging with mermaid writer was great for you. There's a #PBParty Critique Train starting Thursday--so you can write a new PB & get fresh eyes on any PB.

Thanks for the congrats! 💗
Oh wow, I've always wanted to go to Big Sur with @andreabrownlit.bsky.social. They have so many incredible agents, and I'm thrilled that two are participating in #PBParty.
Enjoy every minute!

Yay for another animal lover. They're so inspiring!
I miss having a bird feeder. One of these days, I'd love to get one with a camera that alerts me when a bird is there. Some of them even identify the kind of bird for you.
