Feeling grateful and welcome here. 2024 was rough from top to bottom for me, but I'm glad that I've found some old (and new! ) comrades in arms here. Somehow I just saw that Thomas Kurtz passed away at 96. Like many others here, I'm certain, BASIC was my first programming language. I even used it in middle school to make programs to do my algebra homework, and quickly started selling them on floppies as a hustle. So in my eyes, he was a legend.
