Beyond the obvious, another sad notion about all this DEI hate is that it objectively yields better products and companies by putting a greater diversity of backgrounds and problem solving into these systems. DEI incidentally ends up being good for profit. But people are too racist.

I often think about major crossroads of my life and wonder where the other versions of me would end up now. Take the other job, take the risk, don't take the risk, etc. It's not really regret, but introspection. In the end, I'm really happy with the person I've become. Wish I had more cash tho.

I feel like I've seen no one talking about the show Pantheon, but it's the best Sci Fi show I've watched since The Expanse ended. Absolutely incredible. Animated story about uploading human intelligences to the cloud and (like all good SciFi) what it is to be human. Watch so I can talk about it!

I want a way for YouTube to know when I'm browsing for work vs fun. The algorithm shifts are hard to steer, but I know this feature will never be added since it's such a niche case. Maybe a better idea is like an incognito timer where the browsing doesn't change your algorithm.
